The Crow Wing County Highway Department is launching the development of its first-ever Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). This plan will help identify and prioritize long-term improvements focused on vehicle and pedestrian safety, road maintenance, and preparing for future growth and change. The LRTP will serve as Crow Wing County’s roadmap for guiding transportation investments over the next 20+ years.

Protect natural resources and promote sustainability
Enhance connectivity between communities
Maintain a safe, cost-effective, and efficient transportation system.
Develop a transportation system that serves the accessibility and mobility needs of all users
Preserve and modernize the existing transportation system.
