Emergency Assistance
Provides short-term help for qualifying families faced with an unexpected emergency expense, such as an eviction, utility disconnect, foreclosure, or loss from a fire. If you meet the program requirements, Emergency Assistance can only be issued once in a 12-month period. Emergency Assistance is for households with minor children residing in the home.
Applications are processed through RMCEP
- Applications are available at Crow Wing County Community Services Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m
- Emergency Assistance requires you to meet with a RMCEP staff person, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at RMCEP

Emergency General Assistance
Provides short-term help for qualifying people faced with an unexpected emergency expense, such as an eviction, utility disconnect, foreclosure, or loss from a fire. If you meet the program requirements, Emergency General Assistance can only be issued once in a 12-month period. Emergency General Assistance is for households with no minor children residing in the home.
Applications
- Apply in-person. Applications can be submitted Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Emergency Assistance typically require a face-to-face interview. Those interviews are offered Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
