The Crow Wing County Highway Department has entered into a contract with Anderson Brothers Construction for bituminous surfacing on CSAH 8 between Peterson Lake Road and CSAH 12. Weather permitting, construction work is scheduled to begin this week with milling and bituminous surfacing near the railroad crossing. Paving will continue for the remainder of the week and possible into next week. Shouldering, mailbox supports, and pavement markings will take place after completion of mainline paving. Traffic will be controlled with flaggers and a pilot car. Expect delays and use caution while traveling through the construction zone.
Anderson Brothers Construction has also been awarded the contract for full depth reclamation, centerline culvert replacement, and bituminous surfacing on the Borden Lake portion of CSAH 10 from the south junction of TH 18 to the north junction of TH 18. Construction work is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 6 with milling and reclamation of the existing bituminous surface.
CSAH 10 will be closed to through traffic during the day on Wednesday, May 8 for the replacement of a centerline culvert approximately 700 feet south of TH 18 north. Milling and full depth reclamation of the pavement is planned to be completed by the end of the week with culvert replacements and subgrade preparation lasting into the week of May 13.
Mainline paving is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of May 20. Shouldering, final seeding, mail box supports, and pavement markings will take place after completion of mainline paving. Traffic will be controlled with signals, flaggers and a pilot car. Expect delays and use caution while traveling through the construction zone. Weather permitting, all construction work is scheduled to be completed in early June.
