The Commissioner of Transportation announced the end of Spring Weight Restrictions for the Central Frost Zone (south of TH 210 and TH 18 in Crow Wing County) on Monday April 8, 2024, at 12:01 AM.
Spring weight restrictions in the North-Central Frost Zone (north of TH 210 and TH 18 in Crow Wing County) will end on Friday April 12, 2024, at 12:01 AM. However, due to poor soil conditions all gravel roads within this zone will remain under restriction until further notice.
Spring weight restrictions for the Minnesota Statute 169.87 establishes weight restrictions. The weight on any single axle shall not exceed 5 tons on any unpaved street or highway; or 10 tons on a paved street or highway unless posted otherwise between the dates set by the Commissioner of Transportation.
