The Crow Wing County Highway Department wants to remind residents to be aware of water along county roads and ditches. The heavy snow that fell in the area this winter is starting to melt causing water to fill ditches and run across roadways in some areas.
Motorists should be alert for the potential of intermittent water pooling in low areas along roads. Culverts may be blocked with ice and cause water to run onto roads and driveways. Areas wet during the day may refreeze after sunset or as temperatures fall resulting in ice patches
