[ARCHIVED] COUNTY HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK OF – JANUARY 21, 2019

Hard hat cone

County offices will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2019, for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

County maintenance crews will perform brushing, limb trimming and tree removal activities in the road right of ways throughout the week on various county roads including, CSAH 22 and Cr 148 in Long Lake Township and CR 105 in Ross Lake Township. Chipping of the smaller brush will take place at the sites. Crews will cut and place larger trees at the back of the road right of ways for property owners.

Maintenance crews will be working in the ditch but may be working on one travel lane and shoulder simultaneously, creating the need to close one or more lanes of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.

County snowplows are ready and on standby in the event of significant rain or snowfall in Crow Wing County. We anticipate having the snowplows out Monday and Tuesday for Winter Storm Harper. Please remember to give yourself extra time to get to your destination and please give the plows plenty of room to work.

All maintenance work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.

For further Information on the county highway system, or to report a roadway issue, please contact the Highway Department at (218) 824-1110 or visit our Crow Wing County website at http://www.crowwing.us.
