[ARCHIVED] COUNTY HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK OF – SEPTEMBER 3, 2018

barricades

County offices will be closed Monday, September 3, in observance of Labor Day.

County highway maintenance crews will begin spray-patching operations on CSAH 11, between T.H. 6 and the Aitkin County line, throughout the week. Crews will also continue spray-patching areas along CR 144, between T.H. 18 and T.H. 25 and CSAH 45, from the Morrison County line to CSAH 2.

Maintenance crews will be working on one travel lane and shoulder simultaneously, creating the need to close one lane of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.

Ditch mowing will continue on various roads throughout the county. Full road right of way mowing will take place where it is not too wet. This work will continue into October.

Please remember to keep all signs, including political signs out of the road ditches so our mowing operations are not delayed and our mowers are not damaged.

Gravel smoothing will take place on county roads Tuesday through Thursday.

All maintenance work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.

For further Information on the county highway system, or to report a roadway issue, please contact the Highway Department at (218) 824-1110 or visit our Crow Wing County website at http://www.crowwing.us.
