COUNTY HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK OF – MAY 14, 2018

County maintenance crews will continue crack sealing the below roads this week:

·         CSAH 23, between TH 18 and CSAH 22 – Monday

·         CSAH 48, between SW 4th St. and TH 210 – Tuesday - Thursday

·         CSAH 16, between CSAH 66 and CSAH 39 – Monday & Tuesday

·         CSAH 36, between TH 6 and Old 114 – Wednesday & Thursday

The County has contracted Kamco Inc. to crack seal the below roads this week:

·         CSAH 11, between CSAH 3 and CSAH 4 – Monday & Tuesday

·         CSAH 39, between CSAH 16 and CSAH 11 – Wednesday & Thursday

·         CR 103, between CSAH 3 and CSAH 39 – Friday & Saturday

Maintenance crews will be working on one travel lane and shoulder simultaneously, creating the need to close one lane of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.

County maintenance crews will be patching potholes on various county roads Monday -Thursday. Crews will be pulling over and stopping frequently on the shoulders of the roads, to perform the patching work. Loose patching material debris may be present.

Motor graders will be smoothing gravel roads Monday – Wednesday.

Gravel hauling and smoothing will begin Tuesday, May 15, and will continue throughout week on CR 139 from CSAH 45 – CR 113.  DLL Excavating will be performing the work.

Spring weight limits are in effect on all Crow Wing County roads north of TH 210/18. The restrictions are in effect to reduce roadway damage from heavy trucks during the spring thaw.

All maintenance work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.
