COUNTY HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE
ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK OF – MAY 30, 2017.
The Crow Wing County Highway Department is closed for Memorial Day on Monday. However, crews will respond to road
emergencies.
Maintenance crews will continue patching potholes on various county roads
throughout the week. Crews will be
pulling over and stopping frequently on the shoulders of the roads, to perform
the patching work. Loose patching
material debris may be present.
County maintenance crews will continue crack sealing CSAH 43 in Gail
Lake Township and begin crack sealing CSAH 36, east of State Highway 6 in
Fairfield Township.
Contracted maintenance crews will crack seal CR 133 in Deerwood
Township, CSAH 77 in Nisswa, CR 159 in Oak Lawn Township, CSAH 77 in Baxter, CR
125 in Unorganized, First Assessment District (FAD), various FAD roads, CSAH 2
and CSAH 8 in Pine Center.
County work crews will perform spray patching on Mill Avenue in
Brainerd on Tuesday and Wednesday and then CR 115 (Nashway Road) in Nisswa on
Thursday.
Maintenance work crews will be working on one travel lane and shoulder
simultaneously, creating the need to close one lane of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will
control the traffic flow through these work areas.
Contracted dust control application will begin on gravel county roads
in the southern half of the county.
Contracted gravel application to CSAH 56 in Gail Lake Township will
begin Wednesday.
County motor graders will be smoothing gravel roads throughout the week.
All maintenance work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.
