Applying for a New License

Required Forms

If you are applying for a new combination liquor license for your establishment complete the forms below and submit them to our office along with the required fee, listed below.

• Crow Wing County Application for Liquor License (PDF) / Background Application
• Application (PDF) for On Sale and Sunday Intoxicating Liquor License
• Off Sale Intoxicating Liquor License Application (PDF)
• MN Workers’ Compensation - Certificate of Compliance
• License Applicant Information
• Retailer’s (Buyer) Card for Liquor or Wine (Application (PDF)
• Liquor License checklist (PDF)

All forms must be processed and a license issued prior to selling liquor.

Fees

• Total fee for New Application Combination On Sale and Sunday / Off Sale License: $2600
• Retailer’s (Buyer) Card for Liquor or Wine: $20

Required Approvals

• Consent of Town Board: Contact the town clerk immediately to be placed on the agenda; town board approval on this form is required prior to returning the application
• Upon receipt of all documents, our office will obtain the following approvals; please allow 8 to 12 weeks:
  • Sheriff
  • Attorney
  • Board of Commissioners
  • State Liquor Control Board

Note

After all forms are received by our office a public hearing will be scheduled for new Off Sale establishments.
