Applying For a New License

Required Forms

If you are applying for a new Consumption and Display permit for your establishment, complete the following forms and submit to our office at the address on the right, along with the required fee listed:

• Application (PDF)
• Application for Liquor License (PDF) / Background Application
• State of Minnesota License Applicant Information (PDF)
• MN Workers' Compensation - Certification of Compliance (PDF)

Required Approvals

Upon receipt of all documents, our office will obtain the following approvals; please allow ample time:

• Attorney
• Board of Commissioners
• Sheriff

Other Information

• Your town board does not have to approve your application
• The county fee is $170; this includes the sheriff's department New Application background Investigation fee. Enclose the fee (payable to Crow Wing County) along with your application
• After the board of commissioners has approved the application, we will return it to you so that you may send the additional state fee of $250 along with the application to the State Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division
